The SlackFire is an Italian trio (plus a bunch of electronics and software, see Gear, if want to know more).
Giampiero Vuolo is a flamenco guitar player and composer. Fabio Marzoli is “the” bass player, while Andrea Monti plays electric and classical guitar(s), basses and runs the “Apple stuff”.
What does this name come from? No, although we like open source, we’ve anything to do with Linux Slackware firewall. We choose the name because when we’re out of duty we’re all “slacky” guys, while the fire is still burning.
We play the music we like (but this tell you nothing, about what we like:))… well, to put it short, each member of the trio spent a huge load of time listening at Dream Theater, Marcus Miller, Pink Floyd, Al Di Meola, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brent Mason, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mark Egan, Stanley Clarke, Larry Coryell, Bill Connors, Ana Vidovic, Paco De Lucia, Berta Rojas, Vicente Amigo, Gerardo Nunez (just to name a few.)
